PAL, your reference to the cars is somewhat misleading. A Lexus and a Hugo will both get you from point A to B. The difference is in the luxury features. The difference's in a pc are found in the "power" aspects...speed, memory, storage, etc. If you were doing scientific work, you may need a workstation. To surf the net, a "basic pc" may do. If you want to save and store photos from the net, you'll need to step-up in storage and memory, so you have outgrown the basic pc. This is the problem that first time, uneducated, buyers will encounter. Stock Bull
