In my book anyone tainted with 15 million in loses should go, but yes companies keep executives that have done poorly and pay them really big bucks. These are companies to avoid, better to have real leaders rather than parasites, otherwise playing the stock is a crapshoot. CPQ dumped some execs, and the story seems to indicate that that the problem was with their BOD wanting to retain 'power'. Now the shareholders are suffering (remember the merger that went south). I played COMS for the bounce from 20, but do not hold long for reasons you mentioned.
