Upon what facts do you base this conclusion?

Your statement presumes that the marketplace is static, well-defined and finite. Is it impossible for AMD to cut its production costs and thereby enhance profits without harming Intel's pseudo-monolpoly? Is it impossible for Intel to create new markets and then fill them with product without stepping on AMD in the process?

It's a big world out there. IMHO, the possibilities are limitless.
