Elmer,

It was AMD who started and continues the predatory pricing policy of selling below cost.

During the January AMD board meeting, the decision was made to sell K6-2 400's below cost. Intel pleaded with AMD to sell them at $350 each, but the AMD chairman insisted that they wanted to lose money that quarter (for a tax break I think.)

Intel then reluctantly agreed to let AMD take their quarterly loss.
