Ten,

If the K6-III is supposed to take on the Pentium III, it really ought to be featured with components that are worthy to be featured on Pentium III systems, not components that you normally find on el cheapo K6-2 systems.

K6-III may be as fast as Intel's fastest CPU, but it isn't as fast as AMD's fastest. ;^)

Ten: re "unless they feel like serving McDonald's fries with their porterhouse steak"

Hold it right there, pal. McD's fries are one of the essential food groups (even James Beard called them his favorite food), so if I'm reading your post correctly, you're talking about desecrating them with some lousy piece of beef (I sure hope Scumbria didn't read your post - he'd have a you-know).

Let's agree to choose our analogies and metaphors a little more carefully, okay? - Tad LaFountain
