Pie In The Sky (José de la Loma) - #reply-9621009 Long-slanted preachers come out ev'ry night, Try to tell you what's wrong and what's right, But when asked about something to eat, They will answer with voices ..so sweet: CHORUS: You will eat (you will eat), bye and bye (bye and bye), In that glorious land in the sky (way up high). Work and pray (work and pray), live on hay (live on hay), You'll get pie in the sky when you die (that's a lie!). 2. And the starvation army they play, And they sing and they clap and they pray, Till they get all your coin on the drum, they tell vou when you're on the bum: you're on the bum: 3. If you ask hard for edgars and info to get something good in this show you're a sinner and bad man, they tell; When you die you will sure go to Hell. 4. Investors of all countries, unite! Side by side we for filings will fight. When the world and its wealth we have gained, To the pumpsters we'll sing this refrain: LAST CHORUS: You will eat (you will eat), bye and bye, (bye and bye), When you've learned how to search and to pry (pry and pry). ... sec.gov Find some meat (find some meat), ............ sec.gov That can compete (can compete), And you'll eat in the sweet bye and bye (that's no lie!). ukans.edu ________________________ I don't think Meatloaf would mind, nor Joe Hill -g- [loma = 'hill' in spanish] Too bad 'bulletin' has more syllables than 'dash' ... a person could just use 'B-board', though ... Paradise by the B-board plight, fright, bite, kite - kite, that's it -g- One time i was driving long-distance at night, listening to CBC radio, the dj said 'i want you to listen to this, tell me who it is' ... then he put on this really well-done aria from some Italian opera, incredible voice ... i'm not much of an opera fan but i liked this, it was just so rich and flowing ... very very good .... then he says 'ok, now who was that?' .... and after a few minutes said who, you'll never guess, it was . . . Meatloaf. No kidding. He can sure sing.
