Ramsey,

I believe Japan or China have the most influence in terms of economic power as well as power projection in the case of China (in military affairs).

India and Pakistan with their nuclear bravados last year did make the market nervous. A second tumbling for Korea might also do the trick but perhaps in the case of Indonesia and Thailand the North AM markets would dismiss it as old news if they were to stumble again.
Perhaps someone on the Asian Thread would be better able to answer this as they have a number of the contributors based in Malaysia, HKG and others who travel on business around the area.

Yours Sincerely,

Stephan Gilbert
