I do like Chicago. The brother-in-law still lives there, but he comes here every year. So we haven't been since the kids were born. I will be coming through Chicago one of these days. Not this year, I don't think. One of these days I am going to drive to North Dakota, probably by myself, and just explore where that part of my family is from. Maybe go to the Turtle Creek reservation, too. Stuff like that. Stop at the Carlyle Indian School in Carlyle, PA on the way, see what that was about. And there are some places in Indiana that I should check out. I tried that with Bayou La Batrie, Alabama, couldn't find anything, but you never know. And I learned not to take the kids. Now I know why the people who do this type of thing are all middle-aged family women. You don't care about it when you are young, and then when you have kids, you start caring, but your kids won't let you do it, until you are middle-aged. The Louisiana stuff is all done, or being done. That's more in style these days.
