JetForm shares take off

By KEVIN BELL, Business Editor, Ottawa Sun
JetForm Corp. shares jumped by almost 7% yesterday amid
speculation financial results today will not be as dismal as
expected.

JetForm shares gained 45cents to close at $7.25 on the Toronto
Stock Exchange. Since last Thursday, the stock price has soared
by 10% as investors anticipate the company may be poised for a
return to glory.

"There is absolutely a lot of speculation going on," said Brandon
Osten, an analyst for Sprott Securities. "The question is how far
will it rebound."

Analysts do not have high expectations today. Consensus
estimates reported by First Call Corp. call for a loss of 24cents a
share in the fourth quarter compared to a profit of 26cents a
share in the same quarter last year.

Osten expects a loss of 21cents a share on revenue of $27.5
million. He said all eyes will be on revenues as a gauge of
whether the firm has turned the corner. A significant sales surge
could continue recent stock market gains, he said.
