Thread: FREE MSOffice like product Staroffice 5.1

StarOffice 5.1 can be immediately downloaded for free.

This offer is open for all private, non commercial users and students.

stardivision.com

Some say better than Microsoft Office.

I have not evaluated yet but will give a try and let you all
know.

Now DELL wants to be in ISP for free PC?
Sure DELL's high flying days are coming down and they are
trying to find a constant revenue stream.
I am sure DELL may try like any other ISP but will fail.

They have a chance if they bundle with AOL and get a cut.

Good Mornin yall, *OT*
I have just a few minutes before meetings but saw a lot on the thread that I find not typical of this good group of folks. I think the emotional issues need to go private since they will never be solved on this thread anyway. Let's be kind to each other and pass it on...it would be a much better world if we all did that. I think we all prefer the Happy dances (maybe even pruguy) :-) Anyway, we all want the same things out of life...we just disagree on the way to go about it. Can we leave it at that? I say this in all respect to all who are entitled to their opinions, as am I. Now, Go AOL.....
and mah ((((((( Group hug to yall,)))))))))) best regards, Dep

You still think she's not a cheerleader for AOL after her comments just now before the opening bell ring? Shoot you couldn't pay for touting like that--she sounded like she owned it herself with that wishful spiel! I put in a sell order for my measly little 100 shares at 139. I've been hanging on for two weeks waiting for that pop back to 170 but it looks like for the time being the new range is going to be more like 120 to 140. So be it.

Just out of curiosity, since you are definitely certified computer savvy by virtue of your geography, have YOU ever heard of internet receivers (they are put out by Phillips and Mitsubishi just to name a couple)? If so, why not have your family using that for the stuff you just described, and save the much more expensive pc for something that actually requires computing?
