OT OT Re: school shooting... Such answers to the problem -- better parenting, early intervention, etc... -- are correct and needed. But I want to know what we should do to protect the kids in school today! The only practical solution I've seen is what they do in Israel. Schools have trained and armed staff on site at all times. Field trips have chaperones with assault rifles and sidearms, etc. Terrorist attacks on school kids have all but disappeared there. I admit that this is extremely unnerving to think about. But the current laws only guarantee that the victims are unprotected, which is an incentive to the bad guys. I don't want more dead kids. Sorry for the digression. These school shootings bug me, bigtime. GO DELL! Mike
