Mark...this was repeated on CNBC and was also on the second page of the MONEY section in USAToday on Tuesday.

Anschutz asked USWest CEO for time to counteroffer....and did not recv. the courtesy of a return phone call.

It is my understanding that Qwest is considering sending an unsolicited bid nonetheless.

Mark,
All I know that it was reported om CNBC that Phil A. of Qwest called USWest, etc. And I would agree with you I don"t know precisely know what took place, even if there was a call? So I'm merely discussing a maybe issue, which I believe is food for thought.
