Cobalt Blue, re: Budget Surplus
I guess he doesn't see that the "Surplus" is a myth created by the politicians. From what I've read, the Government, (us), has "borrowed" ~$1.2 trillion from the "entitlement" funds to support non-entitlement programs. We won't be able to pay it back.
Interest payments on the debt reached $364 Billion in 1998. Interesting that foreigners own $1.3 Trillion of our debt. I guess we'll have to pay that back. <ng>
So do we print money?
The situation is getting real scary.
