>OT sure lets blame it on guns now!!! getting rid of guns isnt
>the answer!

agreed. the day after littleton shooting, a guy in chicago
deliberately ran over a bicyclist. He had cut off the
cyclist in traffic, the cyclist banged his fist on the
side of the guy's SUV in anger, the driver waited til cyclist
was in front of him, then ran him over, more than once, killing
him. I read the story on CNN web site.

So, should we protest and demonstrate outside various
car shows? Should we deride the National Hot Road Association
in editorials? What about that nasty AAA - American Automobile
Association? I don't think so - people who are homicidal
will find a way to kill.

Outlawing marijuana sure didn't work, it can be bought anywhere,
ditto w/ alcohol in the Prohibition era - those who want something
will get it, and people will make lots of money dealing in
the outlawed substance/commodity.

OT*OT* Frank I agree, getting rid of guns is not the answer, because there is no one "answer". Do you think those two High School students could have slaughtered as many as they did with knives? Just because we can have guns, does that mean we need to have them? What is it that we need guns for? Protection? From what? From other people with guns! Do we see a common denominator here? I've carried guns before, long ago and far away, and never want to again. I certainly don't want my children to ever carry guns.

BTW thirteen of our precious children die of gunshot wounds every day in this country, including 800 a year accidentally. Day after day after day, no holidays, no weekends off. Why? Aloha
