Skip the first gen phones. My hope is that the second generations are much closer to current cell phones. The big problem is the antenna. Engineer/Clark if you are out there, how much improvement can we expect in the antenna? Seems some of the directional technology discussed over on the Qualcomm thread some time back might be applicable here. Dont know enough on antenna design to go much further.

RS: Yes I was referring to the SP's transfer of calls over the G* network in order to skip other hands. I agree the cost structure would not compete with current landline, but I would have no problem excepting that there are ways for events and price considerations to align such that it would make sense in some instances. As a Globalstar investor, I could care less how the minutes are used - just that they are used. I just can not get past the fact that these big concerns have dropped big bucks into G*.Unlike I*, they are not add-ons. They have been in it from the start and are in it for the long haul. Too much money has been put in for it to be a science project.

Just searching for the additional applications.

P.S. Anyone have a handle on what Schlumber is doing? What is the current order size, I dont recall seeing any numbers for fixed phones being put out recently.
