We have a formula up here. We adjust the water temp so that it is actually lower then the air temp -- this allows us to cool off on a hot & humid afternoon.

I love Boston/Cape Cod, however, I would have no issue with living in San Diego -- that is one nice town. It may prove a tad too laid back for my taste, but it has great beaches, good restaurants, and the people are generally pretty friendly.

BTW, congratulations and best of luck with the new house.
