Some interesting comments were made on CNBC today. Apparently, they suspect another offer could be in the works for USWest. They specifically mentioned Qwest having had meetings with USWest over the weekend. Faber claims Gblx/uswest is a merger of equals, so USWest cannot put themselves in play, so to speak, but this merger will take a long time to close and FWIW it was CNBC's opinion that other offers will surface and this deal is a long way from being done.

I am long Gblx and Qwst. Other than the DSL aspect of this deal, I really am confused why either Gblx or Qwst would find USwest attractive, but there must be more than meets the eye. My guess is revenue.
