Don't forget PMOR, waiting for www.drugstore.com hit the street

ipocentral.com

Web Site: drugstore.com

drugstore.com hopes it has the right Rx for e-commerce success. The online retailer sells some 17,000 health and beauty products. It takes orders for prescription drugs (prescription information must come from a doctor), sends refill reminders via e-mail, and offers detailed drug information. (drugstore.com has contracted pharmacy benefits manager RxAmerica to fill the prescriptions.) The company focuses on filling long-term prescriptions rather than those that patients need right away. drugstore.com was founded by marketing executive Jed Smith in 1998 and is headed by a former Microsoft honcho. Prior to its planned IPO, drugstore.com is 44% owned by Amazon.com; Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers owns 29%.
