I understand where you are coming from, Morgan. You make a very valid point, it's just a perspective that I choose not to follow in making my own investment decisions. That's ok though, that's what makes the market interesting. Let me know how the SFE call goes, I will not have a chance to listen.

Regarding MS "passive" investment in cable:

I went to the MS Developer's conference in 94 (maybe it was 95), whichever year it was that MS (publicly) realized the internet was important to them. Every bit of software I saw, every API being developed, every statement about the future direction of MS, was geared towards high-bandwidth. There was a lot of skepticism that the infrastructure for higher bandwidth than 56k would be available soon enough.

I would bet there is a large amount of MS development waiting in the wings for the big plumbing to get to enough homes and businesses.
