I just came back from the Liberty Investor's Conference in NY. Of all the public companies held by Liberty Digital Lee Masters' spoke the most glowingly about ACTV.

I said to John Malone it seemed that according to Lee Masters' presentation, ACTV technology use would be quite substantial. He neither confirmed nor denied it. I took his nondenial as a confirmation. When I asked him when we could expect to see a commercial launch of these products, he smiled and looked at Dob Bennett who also smiled and said that we have to get more boxes out there.

Rollout delays? What?

Q3 is still the rollout timeframe for the southwest region of Fox Sports Plus. PPV/Marquee events will rollout nationally as ACTV's software is now integrated into the HITS system. This is HUGE for us.

Remember, before you can receive the ACTV signal you must have a digital STB. Cable companies are upgrading systems and deploying boxes as fast as they can. The SW is ready, we will launch there in Q3 and others will follow not long after that. The statement regarding HITS simply means that if the entire country were digital today we could launch on a national basis and that we are no longer totally reliant on a cable infrastructure to carry the signal - we now can do it via satellite.
