OT--Follow up. On Feb 12, Post #5466, I recommended Group I Software and Synetic (At $49). My gather is that no one here acted on my recommendation, but in the case that someone did: 1. I apologize for the immediate fall off to ?$37. That was a consequence of an action brought by Merck against Wygod and the Company about a non-compete agreement. Although it is my understanding that this has not yet been finally decided, the injunction was defeated, and that clowd seemed to vanish from investor's minds. 2. Synetic is now at $105. 3. It is my belief that the stock will double from here within the next two years, but I would like to get out from under the burden of having recommended a stock here? OK? From here on, you're on your own! 4. Next earnings announcement will tell for Group I, but the downside risk is not great.

To attempt a twist to make this somewhat more on topic: Unlike Ampex, Synetic shows what can happen to a stock when it is a friend of Wall Street. Wygod has made many people very wealthy (I am small fish, but I have a lot of this stock for me, up over 800%), and they show their faith by supporting his new venture. I don't know what Ed Bramson has in mind in this regard, but if he is listening: making a good case to the right people and then making it stick should definately be in the mix ahead.

Zeev,

Does a bear shit in the woods?

I'd like to nominate you as the honorary Ampex thread bear. While you forage for food or reasons not to buy AXC at this time please watch out for those bear traps, cliffs and especially the bear hunters.

Your true analysis style has yet to shine through the dense forest that you roam. Given the limited time that you have spent on this thread it is hard to believe that your due-diligence is complete enough so as to fully assess and appreciate the Ampex story.

Best O'Luck!

Tom

Oh, yeah, we read the tea leaves the same way. In fact, I have no doubt we share similiar experiences in various types of financings. However, most institutional types won't take a serious position until they see the filing in black and white and can see the revenue growth for TvontheWeb etc... hence, it is certainly not fully priced into the stock and that is not unusual...Safeguard Scientific's move over the last two weeks is coincident with the actual filing of registration statements etc....
