Del, KIM, Terry has already said that he is not validating these offerings. He is simply sharing them with us from other sources. What I should like to know is, from where are these interesting oddments of information coming?

And some of them are interesting!

Del,

The web is enough to validate ducks. And haven't you noticed? Anything does go on the Net.

A scientific experiment was done. During the late 1940s a team of zoologists released ducks with clipped wings into the deepest part of the Grand Canyon. Although the doomed ducks' quacks could be heard all the way down, their quacks did not echo. At the same time, several geese and burros were also released. Their cries did echo. Check canyonscreams.org if the FBI has not shut it down by now.

Finally, the real mystery is one of elemental ducks. Question: do quarks quack quickly?

Fee is doubled each time a question with a self-evident answer is raised.

FT

<<Ah, being all over the Web is all it takes to validate a statement? Baaahhh! In that case, anything goes. However I would prefer a scientific experiment to validate the statement. Does the echo theory apply to all ducks, or certain species? And what about the geese. What about the squeal that a cat makes when you step on it's tail? What is your fee for answering these questions? I must have answers.>>

I don't know about cats but I do know ducks and geese. It applies to all. A woodie squeels, divers burr and mallards quack. Geese honk. Calls echo on some days, the birds don't. Don't know why but it happens. This is from 20 years field experience.
