<ot, sorta>Great article. I've been wondering about that stuff for the last year or so. I tend bar 3-4 nights a week and I see a fairly varied cross section of people every day, and the stock market is mentioned by at least 75% of them. From CEO's wishing they were a "dot-com" to hairdressers talking diversity through the 5 or so mutual fund they're in to the legal assistant that has enough cash in his money market account to trade 5 shrs of AOL. No typo, 5 shrs, with a 16$ roundtrip this guy was trying to make an extra 100-200$ a week flipping 5 shrs of AOL at work.

Now with kids aspiring to be fund mangers and investment bankers, who will do the work? Where will the next generations hero's come from? Not the point of the article, but hey someone has to do something other than spend all day pushing paper around trying to turn 4$ into 5$. Sorta heh heh heh.

Cheers,
D

As I was typing I got another call about another credit card.
You know the ones that say you've been pre-approved for the Discover Smithsonian card, or some freaky spinoff of another card you either have or have already turned down. Geesh.
