Let them! I still believe we should treat Russia not like a friend nor to chart our future with them as friends.

We must know where do we stand and realistically make our decisions. Let me put it this way, there are things that never change. Example, you can never go to war as Italy as your allies. I am Italian and live in Italy, but that doesn't change the facts.

We have been in business since "Anno Urbis Conditae" 450 years before Christ. Since the end of Pax Romana, the Italians have decided it is better to surrender rather than fight! Cowards, maybe, but survivors! So, who want this country as a partner to fight a war? Nobody.

By the same token you don't want Russians as a partner for peace, and
you know that better than anybody on this thread, I believe. We should
co-exist with them, but not to help them to build their economy. They want to re-arm, let them! Now that they have no longer have millions of virtual slaves in Warsaw Pact Countries, and Soviet Republics have gone their way, he can neither re-arm, nor import free food and raw materials free of charge. They should be kept where they are, a third
world nation.
