They need a name, not first cousin, once removed, I mean besides Maggie, a name like kwonkus. A thing name. Two, now that I have the answer, I have to remember it. I always discount that part. Kwonkus, fatzit, elhud, pergon, I could remember. That first cousin, once removed, is no shorter or easier to figure out or hear than my cousin's daughter. It's longer and harder. Likely to be followed by, "So she's your....." I realize, thinly, that you are not personally attached to this problem.
