Actually this is misleading. The term reserves refers to mineralization that is recoverable at a profit. Legally the ore reserve estimates must be prepared by a professional engineer and usually they are accompanied by a detailed feasibility study before they are even called reserves. Reserves are broken down according to protocols into proven, probable, and inferred. SWAG estimates are called mineral resource inventories and they are pretty much meaningless.
