They didn't pay for anything EXCEPT 3% of AT&T. PLUS they get interest on their money.

Unless you think AT&T will not increase in value, OR default on thier payments.... It seems like a good investment

Microsoft won a guarantee that AT&T would use Microsoft's Windows CE software as the basis for at least 2.5 million of the "set-top boxes" I would bet MSFT has a back door guarantee of much more then that and much more then set-top boxes.
