>> When Micheal was on the TV a few weeks ago He said analysts
might be 'Overjoyed' or 'just happy' with the results!
And Merideth last quarter with that "The fun isn't over for DELL shareholders" crap! I have to get my head examined for listening to that nonsense.<<

Au contraire, mon ami. A person should get his head examined for mindlessly *repeating* such nonsense. What you are saying is simply not true. I hope you will stop repeating it, if you have any regard for the truth.

The MD interview you are referring to was held at Williamsburg, and Ron Insana of CNBC asked MD IF analysts would be "overjoyed." MD evaded the staggeringly stupid question as nimbly as he could, given that he is too intelligent to have anticipated that much coy cuteness in one question. His reply was something to the effect that he couldn't control what the analysts reactions would be.

Re: I will be dumping as soon as I can!
It's investors such as yourself that bought Dell's share price down to where it is now. You bought in at any price hoping to get rich quick. now that you see that you won't get rich overnight, you want to bail. Stick to mutual fund's.

<<I will be dumping as soon as I can!>>

Why can't you dump it right now? If you think this stock is going to drop like a rock you should get out NOW to minimize your losses. But if you think this stock is going to rebound a bit and you are waiting until then to dump it to reduce your losses, you could buy some now and do some averaging. This would reduce your break-even point. You might have to wait a long time to get it back to 108 (split adjusted). If you bought an equal number of shares at 38 you would only have to see it get back to 46 before you broke even (disregarding transaction expenses).

I think it is getting close to the time to be buying, not dumping.

My completely subjective method of figuring this is something I took off the ASND thread about 18 months ago when that particular stock was in the toilet. It has since come back rather nicely and this rule of thumb for buying, if the company is otherwise sound, has served me well since that time. You know it's time to buy when you hear most if not all of the following:

"The Company is no good, the products stink, the CEO needs to be replaced, CSCO (in this case IBM) is the boogyman, the ANALysts and reporters have nothing good to say, and there is a great wailing and gnashing of teeth!"

It seems to me we are about to that point.

DELL ain't that bad, although I think people should unload it to reduce risk. It will rebound, be patient. It is too rush to sell it now. If you sell it now, you are certainly panic. For me I am glad I sold all my DELL position at 43. The fundamental is shaking. Good luck for people who holding.
