On my Level II the next column after the bid/ask is the size the MM is offering, and more often than not they will only offer "1" or 100 shares in smaller stocks and up to "10" or 1K shares in larger cap issues. I've never had a problem soesing a MM for more shares than they were offering, either bid or ask. The entire order is usually accepted. As a matter of fact it still amazes me how a MM showing say 400 shares to buy, can suck up thousands of shares!
