I was rounding, for conversation's sake. I didnt have the exact number. Just like you just referred to today's 8 3/4 point movement as 8 in the sentence above.

Maybe the other 8 will be tomorrow.

You are right. It was like this at the last bottom. Was that about 90? I am long The Thing, but I do think the problem is that Bezos has sent the message-- intended or not-- that he is not worried about when they will make money. The conference call did not go at all well, and I think the stock's recent suffering is directly attributable to the call. Until institutions can be appeased, I think the upside is limited to countertrend rallies. And remember- I am long (and not hedged)

Eugene,

>> The February turn was 10 days before the end of the month and
tomorrow is the same for May.

It is different this time. In Feb, the spin on amzn was that losses as a % of revenue were declining. If revenues were to increase a little, cut back on advertising, and voila! profits emerge. That was the excitement fueling the run to e (or in this case l). Things have changed. Amzn may have a bright future ahead, but the stock looks dismal. Remember the rally a couple days ago ? What was that about ? Nobody knows. And because nobody knows why they bought, now they are selling because lifting amzn from 122 to 136 in an hour was just silly. There are millions of shares out there. There is no scarcity of amzn shares. Supply is increasing by about 3 million a month. The scarcity is in buyers. That is why it fell 90 pts in 4 weeks. When will buyers come in ? I think much lower.

Amzn cannot extend a rally beyond one day. First it was 150 to 158, which lasted a day. Then it bounced from 133, and couldn't hold it. Then it bounced from 122 and now fizzled, again. A test of 122 is coming, right ? Tomorrow ?
