Dave, it is bogus because it ignores the circumstances, intensity, and duration of the various conflicts, and especially because it ignores the outcomes. The Republicans often did not initiate the conflicts that they had to do something about, they were clearer and more modest in their objectives, and they were more successful in achieving their limited objectives...
