bdog,

totally entirely OT

many years ago, someone made an observation about dogs that I have subsequently found true. Basically he (or she, I forgot who) said all the dogs you find in 3rd world and developing countries are the mid size 20 lb or so mix breeds. They are generally at the bottom of the packing order, constantly begging for food from their masters, if they have one, or just rummaging through trash for survival. They are totally afraid of humans. Though they will yap, most will run the second you confront them.

Many dogs in this country are quite different in size and demeanor. I used to have a big German Shepherd. Trust me, you would be deathly afraid of that thing too, especially if you are not used to seeing animals that size coming up to sniff your private parts.
