Jack, <<You know the 50 mike mike>> No, I was in the navy on a tin can. All we had on it was small arms, 3", and 5" guns. Today I bought a Marlin 45-70 guide gun, short 18 1/2 compensated barrel with a cushy recoil pad. I already own Marlin's full size 45-70, but like the look and feel of the smaller gun. The large model already breaks blood vessels in my shoulder shooting some of my full power reloads so I'm a little apprehensive about shooting the little toy. Maybe the new recoil pad and compensator will take some of the bite out of it, but then again, maybe I can break some bones. <VBG> It should be fun.
