File under the "interesting" section...

This definately peaked my interest in the V3 SLI rumors...

When asked why 3dfx hadn't been keen on initially entering into an agreement with Alienware, the response was: "PGC hasn't yet been proven to be effective at accelerating all game titles. Obviously, we believe that our own SLI-based technology is the better of the two platforms. That said, we are interested to see what Alienware and Metabyte end up with, and discussions are ongoing."

Hmm... was this the 3dfx rep talking? I believe so or else why would he/she address Alienware and Metabyte in the third person. V3 SLI? Leak? Grin? Also SLI is definately the 3dfx term with PGC being the Metabyte/Alienware term. Yo... 3dfx guys... fill me in, make me sign an NDA and i'll be quiet.... promise. :P

p.s. post-edit... anyones take on the ramifications of V3 SLI? Likelyhood? What is the "digital video port" on the V3 3000? (Jfeat connector?) Am I seeing things that are not there?
