Here some good news. Peter Lynch likes AOL!

Legendary mutual fund manager Peter Lynch told a Washington investment meeting he expects America
Online (AOL: news, msgs) will be one of the top U.S. companies one day. "There's only a couple of
hundred companies in the U.S. that make a billion dollars," Lynch said. "America Online is going to one of
those companies." Lynch said Fidelity is concerned shares of many Internet companies are overvalued.

"We all know very well what mergers can do to a company."

I think CPQ owners know the pain for sure...All I can say is, I applaud Mr. Case for dropping out of the bidding for Media One...a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, and Media One would've been too costly, and the vision to put it into play would've taken a long while to deliver...The deal with the baby bells will start to rake in bucks later this summer...way ahead of AT&T...By the time AT&T even gets its foot wet in the broadband market, AOL will have more subscribers than can be imaginable!
