Jimbo: No, I didn't. I don't follow the EBAY thread very closely. I think that EBAY's recent acquisitions (too recent to impact Doug's "study") will help address the concerns expressed.

Also, the higher ticket items will help to offset a little bit slower growth in the number of auctions due to others entering the online auction business. I agree with Doug that EBAY will continue to be the major butt kicker in this space. The new wireless service pact with SKYT, the acquisition of Billpoint and the opening of the new customer support center, all of which happened this month, show that EBAY is into customer service. This is what separates EBAY from all those "afterthought" auction sites.
