<I noted in the recent press release concerning TSMC's .18µ capability a list of software vendors. SNPS was listed, CDN was not.>

Carl: It's discouraging that CDN isn't the leader in this important new segment. With all the leading tech acquisitions this outfit has made, you would think they would have taken care to be in front on this. Apparently, they've spent their time worrying about selling options, repricing options and getting options; as well as using marketing and bookkeeping strategies that make it appear they are doing better than they are. As shareholders, we are often told that the option 'game' is to insure the company keeps its outstanding executives. From my perspective, it might be better if they got a new crop; a group who pays more attention to the long term health of the company than their own.

I wonder if what we are seeing here is the tip of the iceberg as far as many high tech companies are concerned. CDN probably hasn't been doing things that are atypical of the hi tech world. Heavy borrowing from the future and self interest on the part of those running a company always leads to a 'pay the piper' phase. Let's hope CDN emerges from this a stronger and wiser company with more experienced and mature executives.
