I believe Ascend went down to around the 20 level, Dell has a ways to go in order to match and validate your scenario....

Hi Donny,

If it wasn't for the gains I have made on Ascend , I wouldn't have been able to accumulate the position I now have in DELL.

I do think the two situations are different. It seems DELL's business is intact, its just too big to continue its historical growth.

With Ascend there was all sorts of other issues that drove it into the toilet. (Too many, & I'm too tired now anyhow)

What I did learn from that experience with Ascend was not to panic.

So I won't. I will however look to dump at least half my DELL position if and when we ever get a good run again.

Good Luck,
Pat Hughes

>>The Company is no good, the products stink, the CEO needs to be replaced, CSCO
(in this case IBM) is the boogyman, the ANALysts and reporters have nothing good
to say, and there is a great wailing and gnashing of teeth!"

It seems to me we are about to that point.<<

The product quality and services of Dell is second to none. We can all agree to that now here is the problem Michael Dell said to trust in him that since we made him a billionaire he will make us millionaires. I don't think that lately there are too many who see themselves becoming millionaires. Michael is not going to achieve this for investors by sitting around hybernating with his finger in his mouth while Gerstner goes to the plate and hits home runs at the expense of Dell.
