rude-- I agree it COULD happen and hope you are correct. If the good news comes at intervals that do not coincide with bad mkt days and the mkt does not decide to correct I agree with your high side projections. I hope it acts like it did the last time it bit me just like this! That would put us at 38 1/4 on 10/12/99.. <ggggg..

Unfortunately, CPQ has told too many stories.
It is unlikely that CPQ will see the 50's this year.
My analysts reports show them with modest earnings and growth this year and the report has been very optimistic to date.

DELL needs no stories of hypergrowth. It needs focused performance . Its day of exponential stock price growth are over in the long term. DELL will get its 40-45% growth this year and will strive to create new businesses that fit its business model. It earnings will continue to grow.

One reason that I have held on with Intel this year is what will occur in the second half. With Geyserville for laptops, and Camino/RDRAM, and the assumption that things are on track with these new products, we could see a nice round of buying in the PC sector. The question marks in my mind are pricing and Y2K. It will be an interesting second half. Do you have any thoughts here? In my mind, PIII so far means very little due to it's incremental nature over PII, but with these new technologies, we get a real performance boost.

Regards,
John
