Dear Uncle Frank,

How nice of you to write, it's very good to be missed!

I sold most of my Dell stock a couple of months ago and have not posted on that thread as there are many fine and successful investors there and for me to raise my voice I felt at least I should be a member of the club. Meanwhile, my investments are working, except for the last few days in this tech panic. We have Six Flags Over Georgia, with 5 roller coasters, but this market is scarier than the rides.

Here's a bulletproof trade I did recently. Bot CMGI @ $241, sold 2001 Straddles for $241.50. The stock can be margined and the covered Calls yield the maintenance requirement on the Puts. Net result: No Money Down, and probably No Money Ever! The stock dropped $20 today to 211, but I'm safe all the way to 120, then I'll close the calls for small change and roll the puts out into a lower strike straddle. I seriously doubt such will eventuate, but it's nice to have an escape hatch.

I'll start catching up on your Gorillas and Kings thread, Frank. My very warmest regards to you and your family!
