You know,

I was thinking, and wondered about the fact that GNET's ad budget doesn't compare with some of it's competitors. But then I realized that it gets a lot of free press. Where? The Wall Street Journal likes to quote what they read here. But more so, hypermart- we have 200,000 small businesses all advertising their sites- and therefore GNET- at no charge to us. Good deal, eh?

Herny Blodgett - Merrill Lynch! Coverage!

If I am Henry Blodgett of Merrill Lynch, probably the most followed
internet analyst on the street, and I am about to levy a strong buy
rating on GNET and all of a sudden I see that Mgmnt/BD has nominated a
loud mouth hippie from the left coast who prides himself on going on
national television and stock site and making a fool of himself
repeatedly predicting a market crash, explain to me why in the hell I
would initiate any coverage whatsoever.

GNET holders, open your eyes, this guy is the joke of the street, elect
him to the board and rest assured - I am gone!

On Bill Fleckenstein:

Hi all,

Don't know a lot about this guy. I do know that he seems to be a bit bearish on the i-nets and very conservative. He is a "joke of the street" because he is contrarian and goes against the crowd.

One of the many things I have become more acutely aware of recently is the need for diversity. Not just diversity in race and gender and all those PC things, but diversity in ways of thinking. You make better, more informed decisions when you have a Devil's advocate on your team. Fleckenstein will add diversity to the board.

Remember that the businesses and managers who do the best in the world in the long run are the ones that hire people who are not like themselves... this takes courage, conviction and a careful selection. These are attributes that Russle has, and I think it was a careful selection that made him choose Flekenstein.
