Are you prepared to be pissed off?

The 3500 is no longer a product. We have replaced it with a better product,
the 3500 TV. It has full TV in / out, software DVD decoder, TV Tuner, a FM
stereo tuner and many other cool features as well as the original 3500 specs
minus the LCDFX chip. Should be available in the August / September time
frame.

I don't think you worded this correctly. Of course, any SLI configuration would have the chipsets running at the same speed. The problem is how does each card get the data, and how do the cards know which data set to work on?

I can think of three ways this might be handled. Keep in mind I know nothing about how PCI tags data for different cards.
1) Driver splits up the data and then passes it along to the individual cards along the PCI bus, targeting each card individually.
2) All the data goes to the "master" card, which then sends the relavent data through the passthrough cable to the slave card.
3) All the data is read by both cards (PCI bus is shared) which perform the calculations and use the passthrough cable to store the framebuffer data in the master card.

If the SLI were being handled by either (1) or (2) , then I would guess it's possible to run SLI with AGP-PCI.

How exactly does SLI work? Does someone have a link to an article describing how it works?
