John - Thanks for response and comments. Agree that when wireless gets seriously into the broadband mix -- and if the regulatory restrictions get lifted on satellite TV -- then with cable modem and DSL, we could have a full array of options. If all plays out that way, then Case can "AOL Anywhere" was the right strategy -- by land, sea, air and hopefully sometime soon by cable, too !

You are obviously very knowledgeable about the technology behind these broadband options and I hope you continue to share your knowledge on this thread. Your informative comments are appreciated.

Will be interesting to see how technological advantages among the broadband options get offset by strategic alliances, marketing, "bundling" of services, price points, availability, etc.
