I would bet that by Christmas they will have a new version of the palm VII that addresses all of the weaknesses of the current Palm VII

RR: Read the WSJ article....anytime they commit to a positive development from any company the mkt will react in similiar manner and shareholder value increases. The WSJ is not known for "rubber stamp-
ing" new products...regardless of which company places them on the mkt. The Journal is unbiased when it comes to reporting as I see it. "Wireless" was the focus when I was in Vegas and there is going to be more concentrated attention in this area. Quite a bit of potential and a HUGH market for wireless devices is just around the corner! 3com is well positioned in this area with the Palm's...and their alliance with Microsoft will certainly address those concerns of yours. Once the PalmVII establishes its "roots" within the culture and Gates vision relative to the internet & "wireless" comes about...3com is going to soar! If this occurs...then I certainly will apologize to Mr. Benahamou for all the negative comments I directed at him relative to his vision and strategy! 3com remains undervalued and it should be agressively accumulated even at these present prices...that is my opinion. I believe several analysts' have said the same...so I am not alone in this opinion. The costs you speak about are a write off...if one uses the Palm VII to run their business. Don't forget...if a thousand dollar tool can reap $4000+ in efficiency...that is quite a return on initial outlay! This is the technology that "Greenie" testified about relative to the global economy and how it is improving the efficiency of the financial markets. This "wireless" device will give a competitive edge to those who use it and ones' competitors will certainly see the advantage and consider it as a "necessary" tool to conduct their business and remain competitive. Remember..."new trails"
have a rock or two in the way...but when more traffic incurs...trails turn into roads.

HKirby
