HI Bill; I was mostly janking on your chain, actually I went into
a fund, and I think they play the gold better than I can, it seems
they go both short and long , they have been beating the London gold index for a while now.
What I did notice in the Gold sector is that production cost are coming down for most of the miners, advances in new techniques,
and some other factors also are playing into the profit picture
so the price of gold is no longer as much of a factor as it
was just a few years ago. While the market seems to re-act just
to the price of gold , the market also is slow to catch on.
-----------------
I play the QQQ the most as it's the most volatile of the indexes,
at times I use the SPY and other spiders, however these turn out to
be short term bets, I'm trying to get a better handle on them
for longer term bets but so far scalping the volatility makes more
than just hanging onto a longer term bet.
I play both sides , but more on the short side at this time.
