My internet provider just released new xdsl pricing structures from uswest in the Salt Lake area, thought people would find this of interest. m Dear Customer,

US West recently changed the pricing structure for xDSL
service. The activation fee has dropped from $110 to $69.00
for all speeds effective May 11th. They have also dropped
the monthly fee for the 256k connection to $29.95 per
month.

Also, by ordering xDSL for the customer on-line, you get
the external modem/router for $50 instead of $95 or an
internal modem for free. You can order xDSL service by
going to:

engineering.sisna.com

The external modem/router allows multiple users in a home
or on a network access but the internal modem only allows
one computer use of the modem, it can not be shared. These
prices are for a US West promotion that will run from May
11th to July 2nd, 1999. US West has lowered their
requirements for the loop qualification which will increase
the availability of xDSL.

Current xDSL subscribers will have their monthly charges
reduced and will be receiving a letter from US West.

Sincerely,

Henry Smith
