Dale, when a broker sells order flow, the MM to which the order flow is sold agrees to match the inside bid up to a certain amount. I'm not certain of the amount, but know that 1000 shares is usually safe. In exceptional cases auto execution can be taken off line, but those times are few and far between with Waterhouse. NITE is almost always on the inside for me, whether they show on L2 or not.
