WIND looks like it is bidding up a bit this morning. Jubak's article is quite bullish on WIND.

As I recall, Ron opened up his last CC by saying that WIND dropped when he was on a trip to Europe. He was shocked by the huge drop of WIND in January. He thought there were no good reasons for this drop, but he had long stopped trying to rationalize the stock market. (Of course, these are not his exact words.)

I said he lied because this conference call was taken in the middle of the just announced quarter. At that time, T2 delay was already known by the insider, and its Tornado of networking product should have already been shipped, but it was still not done. Needless to say, WIND deserved the January drop, and it is my assumption that Richard Kraber "told" the institutions that WRS was not going to make the number due to delays in products in his January 21st conference call with the analysts. And this is why 70% of WIND stock was traded within 3 days of the conference call. But as the CEO, Ron claimed to have no knowledge of good reasons for WIND's drop. Doesn't he know product delays is not a good thing?

Also, Ron has repeated stated in the last conference call that CE was not a competitor of VxWorks. Who is cheating whom here? Everyone knows that NCI competes against CE. NCI uses VxWorks. And NCI is just one of many VxWorks users who are competing against CE. Ron is too smart to not to draw the connection that CE competes against VxWorks. So I can only say that he lied. And of course, Richard Kraber is no better.
