But a few stood out: Lexra, a developer of chip architectures licensed to builders of everything from digital cameras to cell phones, has managed to make a dent in the low end of a highly competitive segment of the industry. Microtune impressed us by shrinking a digital television tuner onto a single chip.

Cute and funny. And of course it ignores the core issues.

It seems that, in your view, any advance made by Intel is immaterial, unimportant and even negative for the future of Intel, while any prospective advance by AMD is "the Intel Killer" - eg. the K7.

So rather than saying that volume production of .18 parts at this date is important, you ridicule it.
