For argument's sake, let's just say that MCI Worldcom were to try to buy out Qwest.

How much would they offer?

At what price would Anschutz be willing to sell out and let someone else take over the company? I believe he owns enough of Qwest that it would require his approval. Could Anschutz and Ebbers co-exist in the same company? I somehow don't think that would happen. How often do guys who own 40%+ of a company get bought out?

Would it be time to get out once an offer were made by MCI Worldcom?

OR, would it be best to then hold shares in MCI Worldcom?

Suggested name for the new entity: MCI World-Qwest

I think WCOM will go after a RBOC. WCOM gets local & wireless. The RBOC gets long distance. Look for BEL or SBC. QWST would simply involve too much good will.
